EASTERN CANADA LEATHERSIR / LEATHERBOY 2007 CONTEST

(Toronto) – The Eastern Canada LeatherSIR / Leatherboy 2007 contest weekend will take place Fri, June 8 through Sun, June 10 in Toronto, Canada.

The Eastern Canada LeatherSIR / Leatherboy contest is open to leathermen from Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada. Contestants will vie for the regional titles and the chance to advance to compete at the International LeatherSIR / Leatherboy contest in Dallas, Texas in October (the Canadian Thanksgiving/US Columbus Day long weekend).

The Eastern Canada regional judging panel will be announced next week.

Renowned leather emcee Tom Stice will return to host the contest. Stice is International slave 1995 and Southeast Mr. Drummer 1998. He has judged, emceed, and produced local, regional, and national leather events and contests.

Presenting sponsors for the weekend are Steamworks, Black Eagle Toronto and Goodhandy’s. This year marks the fifth annual contest. Since, 2005 the contest weekend has been produced by Brandon Matheson (Eastern Canada LeatherSIR 2004) and Dan Falkenham (Eastern Canada Leatherboy 2004).

Events will take place at the Black Eagle Toronto (457 Church St) and Goodhandy’s (120 Church St). The weekend roster will include:

  • MEET & GREET ~ Weekend kick-off party. 10pm. Fri, Jun 8. The Black Eagle Toronto (457 Church St; just south of Church & Maitland). Demo, bootblack service, shooter boys and more!

  • DEMO & WORKSHOP ~ Saturday afternoon; details to follow.

  • BOOTBLACKS & BOYS ~ A special “V.I.B.B.” reception, featuring the introduction of a special community award ceremony. 7pm. Sat, Jun 9. Goodhandy’s (120 Church St; southwest corner of Richmond & Church).

  • EASTERN CANADA LEATHERSIR / LEATHERBOY 2007 CONTEST ~ LeatherSIR and Leatherboy contestants will take to the stage at 8:30pm (sharp!) on Sat, Jun 9 at Goodhandy’s (120 Church St). This year’s contest theme is “Edge Play” (includes breath control, forced smoke, medical play, electricity, single tail, etc). Contestants must incorporate this theme into their contest fantasy scene. The evening will also feature the official step-down of Eastern Canada LeatherSIR 2006 Sir Franco and Eastern Canada Leatherboy 2006 boy Jason.

  • BACKROOM ~ The official post-contest party. 11pm. Sat, Jun 9. Black Eagle Toronto (457 Church St).

  • BBQ BASH ~ The contest weekend winds down at Toronto’s hottest weekly BBQ for leather, denim and bear lovers! Join us on the Black Eagle patio for their infamous Sunday BBQ. Meet and congratulate the new 2007 title holders and say farewell to our visiting out of town guests. The men are hot, the food is fantastic.
