OTTAWA LEATHER FEST 2007 INVITES YOU TO COME OUT AND PLAY!

May 6, 2007, Ottawa &mdash “Forbidden Games” … That’s the theme for the third annual Ottawa Leather Fest weekend, to be held from Friday, August 24, to Sunday, August 26, 2007.

In 2006, Ottawa Leather Fest attracted international attention, earning a full page of coverage in The Leather Journal (a half page of text and a half page of photos). This year, Leather Fest will be in the spotlight even more, since Angela Albert, Ms. Ontario Olympus Leather 2007, went on to win the international title. In fact, she was the third Canadian in a year to achieve such a feat. Don’t miss the chance to meet this history-making titleholder!

Ottawa Leather Fest will allow the city’s leather/kink/fetish community, and out-of-town guests, to get together for fun and frolic, including the Friday “meet and greet”, two pansexual play parties, and Ottawa’s Pride parade and picnic. An added bonus this year is the world premiere of “Together in Leather”, a documentary about leather/BDSM relationships by Alexander Henryk Wisniowski.

The Ontario Olympus Leather 2008 competition will also be held to choose a Mr. and Ms. Ontario Olympus Leather. Once again, a distinguished panel of judges has been assembled:

• Douglas O’Keeffe, Cell Block Shel-don Leatherman 2004 and Mr. Saliva 2007
• Zelda Marshall, transgendered activist and performer
• B.J. – Mr. Ontario Olympus Leather 2006
• Angela Albert, Ms. Olympus Leather 2007 and Ms. Ontario Olympus Leather 2006
• Paul Leroux, leather/SM writer and essayist

Ottawa Leather Fest also allows our community to build its knowledge and skills through seminars on BDSM topics, relationship issues, and cultural interests. This year’s seminar presenters are:

• Alex Wisniowski, Mr. Leather Ottawa-Hull 2002 and Mr. Ontario Olympus Leather 2005
• Lady Caro, Ms. Olympus Leather 2005
• Terrell Brown, Mr. Olympus Leather 2006
• Paul Delage, expert and educator in various aspects of SM play

Weekend packages are still only CAN$70. Tickets are also available for the contest alone and for individual seminars.
