Six fun filled leather events, February 18-21, 2011

(Toronto) — The Eastern Canada LeatherSIR/Leatherboy 2011 contest weekend will run Friday, February 18 through Monday, February 21 (a civic long weekend in Ontario). The weekend will include a busy roster of six events involving three leather organizations. The Presenting Sponsor of Eastern Canada LeatherSIR/Leatherboy 2011weekend is Steamworks, the official bathhouse of ECLSb.

The weekend will begin Friday night with the OFFICIAL MEAT & GREET at Black Eagle Toronto (10pm. Fri, Feb 18. 457 Church St). Meet and mingle with contestants, judges, out of town guests and visitors, as well as members of Spearhead celebrating the kick-off for Fantasy Ball weekend.

The weekend’s main event is the EASTERN CANADA LEATHERSIR/LEATHERBOY 2011 CONTEST, which will take place Saturday afternoon at Goodhandy’s (Doors 1pm; contest 2pm sharp. Sat, Feb 19. 120 Church St, at Richmond). Admission $10; proceeds to ECLSb travel fund. Contestants will be judged in four categories: Interview; Speech/Image; Physique; and Leather Sex Fantasy based on the region’s assigned theme. The interview is a private meeting prior to the contest with the panel of judges; other categories take place on stage during the contest.

Members of the judging panel will be: International LeatherSIR 2010 Hugh Russell, from Seattle (WA) who will serve as head judge; International Leatherboy 2010 boy Ian, from Hamilton (ON); International Community Bootblack 2010 RedWarrior, from Jacksonville (FL); Eastern Canada LeatherSIR 2010 Marc Poisson, from Niagara Falls (ON); and, Peter Dillon, Mr Leatherman Toronto 2009, from Toronto (ON).

The ECLSb contest emcee will be Tom Stice, International slave 1995 and Southeast Mr Drummer 1998. Tally Master will be Anthoney Perkins, Mid-Atlantic Leatherboy 2010, from Washington (DC). Judge’s boy will be Pup Kalen, from Toronto (ON). Den Daddy will be Matthew Pavelich, Mr Leatherman Toronto 2008, from Toronto (ON). Stage Manager for the contest will be Fenn, Mr International Rubber 2010, from Toronto (ON).

The 2011 contest fantasy theme will be “Movies.” Contestants must incorporate this theme into their fantasy scene. The theme can include a wide range of BDSM play skills, however, must somehow involve, from a recognizable movie(s), elements such as characters, spoken lines, re-enacted scene(s), music, sound FX, and/or other movie elements. The fantasy portion is what sets the ECLSb contest apart from many other contests styled after the International Mr. Leather and Mid-Atlantic Leather formats.

Join the new ECLSb titleholders Saturday night for an ECLSb VICTORY PARTY at Black Eagle Toronto (10pm. Sat, Feb 19. 457 Church St). The celebration will coincide with a demonstration night by Master R.

Saturday night survivors will be up in time for the butchest brunch in town. Join the new ECLSb titleholders at MR LEATHERMAN TORONTO’S LEATHER BRUNCH at Churchmouse & Firkin (11am-2pm. Sun, Feb 20. Upstairs, 475 Church St). Hosted by the MLT 2011 title team: Mr Leatherman Toronto Paul Hackett, Mr Leather Fellowship Ryan Russell and Bootblack Toronto slave-boy jake.

The weekend event with the most sex and sweat will be SQUEAL, the official ECLSB men’s sex party at Steamworks (2pm-6pm. Sun, Feb 20. 540 Church St, Level 2). SQUEAL is a sexy sequel to previous successful ECLSb parties held at Steamworks. Regular club admission fees & rules apply; discount admission passes will be available throughout the weekend at ECLSb events.

LeatherSIR/Leatherboy are “players titles,” titles representing the erotic and sexual side of gay leathermen. The primary goal of ECLSb is networking and outreach, to help educate the community about leathermen, our erotic expression, traditions and history, and, of course, BDSM and hot leather sex! Winners of Eastern Canada LeatherSIR/Leatherboy will advance to compete at the International LeatherSIR/Leatherboy contest weekend, which will take place Thursday, July 28 through Sunday, July 30, 2011 in San Francisco, coinciding with the Dore Alley leather street fair on Sunday, July 31.
